Gale is in Labor – Live Periscope Updates

Well, most of the snow had melted by yesterday. Today we woke up to a few new inches on the ground.

Gale is getting to know the whelping area and likes it. She mostly likes looking out the windows in there, puppy toys, and peace and quiet, away from the other dogs.

A couple of days sooner than I expected, Gale’s temperature dropped, she started the shaking, and tonight, the panting signaling labor has started. So, we are all set up in the whelping room for the night waiting for her puppies to arrive!

 

 

I will update via live broadcasts on Periscope during the night–if there is anything to report. She may not have any puppies until tomorrow sometime.

Wish us luck! Gale isn’t huge, so I do not expect a big litter, but I’ve been proved wrong before.

Hope to see you on Periscope during the broadcasts. This is my first time using it, so I’m not sure if I’ll do so great. As it turns out, small broadcasts are saved to my phone, so I shared the first one here.

Update: Gale had 3 male puppies.
