Memorial Day is a time for us to remember that we are free because of the sacrifice of others. It is a time to be thankful for those that have given their lives for us and our freedom. Show honor by visiting the graves of those who have died in war. Fly the flag at your home. Honor all military service members that give their lives in service to our country. A time-honored tradition is to wear a red poppy–get one this year and make a donation. Attend a Memorial Day pararde and obseve a moment of silence or listen to Taps at 3:00 p.m. and reflect on the sacrifices so many have made for the freedoms we take for granted.
