Well, the PA Pheasant opener was disappointing to say the least. Scott headed out before daylight with Luke (I was exhausted still from all the traveling, unpacking, cleaning and catching up and didn’t want to get out of bed at 4:00 am.).

The area he chose to hunt was already loaded with hunters when he arrived well before daylight. Luke hunted his heart out for about 5 hours. They only got into one bird.. a grouse. Scott didn’t have a shot. Luke attracted much attention, as usual, with everyone asking what kind of dog he is and asking for business cards. He is a beauty, no doubt about it.

It was a difficult transition from hunting where we did on the trip. We all got spoiled hunting there. Hopefully things will go better Monday..
