Another lovely day in PA. I couldn’t wait to get out to the woods again with Levi. I waited until my teenagers got home from school and combined the outing with another geo-caching excursion.
This was about and 2.5 mile round trip hike in the Laurel Mt.’s again. Levi was more inquisitive about his surroundings, today, but still wanted to keep up with us. He caught scent of something or another several times and would stop dead in his tracks, turning his head into the wind. I don’t know what it was that he was smelling, but it was nice to see his interest. There wasn’t any sign of any wildlife in the area, so I have no idea what he was catching wind of, of course. This area of the mountain seemed very “dead” and still this time of the year. Not even a tweetie bird to be seen or heard, yet. He did sniff out coyote scat and left his mark nearby. Funny.
He was full of energy and never seemed to tire on the outing. Very inquisitive about things this time. He is behaving in the car and just settles into his spot for the rides, looking out “his” window..
