Dora x Steele Puppy Contest!

image

We finally have the big drop in Dora’s temperature, so puppies should be born within the next 24 hours. Her temperature has hovered in the 99.1-99.4 range since Christmas eve and there have been no nights of sleeping since! But, we finally have the drop we were waiting for.

For some fun, I thought I would have a little contest… you know, like those contests at baby showers where folks guess when the baby will be born, the sex (in the old days we didn’t know the sex until the baby was born!), weight, etc.

So, I think we will go with having you guess the date, number of pups in the litter, and how many of each sex.

There will be prizes!

Grand prize will go to the person that gets all 3 variables—(date pups are born, how many pups, and how many of each sex), correct and they will win their choice of the either Prize package 1 or 2:

Grand Prize:

Choice of one of two following prize packages:

  1. Prize Package 1:
    • 1-year subscription  (or extension of current subscription) to one of the following magazines (winner’s choice): Gun Dog Magazine, The Upland Almanac, or Pointing Dog Journal.
    • 1-year regular membership (or extension of existing membership) to one of the following organizations (winner’s choice): The Ruffed Grouse Society, Quail Unlimited, Quail Forever, or Pheasants Forever.
    • 1 copy of the 2012 Laurel Mt. Llewellins Calendar
  1. Prize Package 2:
  • Gift certificate for $75 from Northwind Enterprises for use toward an “In the Field Habitat Map” set!
Second Prize:
Then, there will be 1 winner for the person who gets 2 of the variables correct. They can choose their prize–either the magazine subscription or the organization membership, or a 2012 LML Calendar (value $25).
Random Prize:
And there will be a random drawing from all of the entries for a Stormy Kromer Rancher’s Cap! The winner can choose the color and size, of course.
To enter, respond by commenting below or to the post in Facebook by midnight tonight (Wednesday, December 28th).
Sorry I didn’t think of this sooner. I think I will try this with all of our future litters. I’ll will start one soon for Nash and Luke’s litter!
Good Luck!!!
